Privacy Policy

The legal bit.

At Connect Alloa, we need to collect and use personal data about the people we deal with in order to securely carry out our youth services. We hold data about volunteers, staff, parents/guardians and the young people who attend our group. Our Privacy Policy outlines why we collect this data, how we do this and how we keep it secure.

Personal Details:

We may collect basic personal data, including but not limited to your name, address, email and phone number in order to process and manage your relationship with us as a young person attending our sessions, the parent/guardian of a young person attending our sessions, a volunteer or staff member. We may also ask for information relating to your health, dietary requirements, school or criminal record if it will affect your participation with the group or the safety of our young people. All young people who attend Connect Alloa need to complete a registration form.

How long do we keep your information for?

We are required to keep your personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 5 years, after which time it will be destroyed.

What are your rights?

If at any point you believe the information we hold on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us to have the matter investigated.  Please direct any complaints or concerns to dave@connectalloa.org.uk.

What we do with your data:

In line with our privacy policy, all the personal data we collect is processed by a trained staff member and stored securely. When we process your personal information, we make sure to consider and balance any potential impact on you (both positive and negative), and your rights under data protection laws (GDPR).

We have a Data Protection system in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data. We will ensure that all organisations that we share information with are also compliant with Data Protection regulations.

Why we need your data:

We need to collect basic personal information about anyone involved with Connect Alloa to ensure the safety of all our young people. We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need to provide a safe and secure service.
