Our Story
Connect Alloa officially became a charity in 2019 and we’ve been working hard to support young people ever since.
Our charity founder, Dave Crozier, wanted to create a youth group that would not only support local young people, but enable them to become more involved and active within the wider Clackmannanshire community.
Working with St Mungo’s Parish Church, we were able to establish regular youth nights and create a safe space for
young people to socialise. Our sessions cover a range of different activities, including games, creative tasks and fundraising challenges. We are always open to new ideas,
so feel free to get in touch if you have a suggestion.
Throughout the pandemic, we continued to support our young people by providing online sessions. Using multiplayer games and platforms like Discord, we have been able to provide digital youth nights and stay connected as a group. As a result,
we now provide a mix of online and face to face groups, providing options to those who would prefer different kinds
of groups, activities, atmospheres and dynamics.
Currently we host regular sessions every week on
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
